Avenues to Independence – Welcome to Avenues to Independence. Avenues is a non-profit organization that provides homes, jobs and community living programs to Chicago area adults with physical, intellectual, and other developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, autism, epilepsy and cerebral palsy. It is our goal to provide work and living opportunities enabling those with disabilities to be as independent as possible.
Currently, we provide homes for more than 70 adults, and support 150 individuals at our work center and 60 people in community employment. Our work center provides experience in real factory situations where employees learn important work skills and socially acceptable work habits. People employed in the community receive on-the-job training and support services from Avenues staff members. CTO - Caribbean Tourism Organization CTO – The CTO, with headquarters in Barbados and an office in New York City, is composed of 32 member island nations/countries with English, French, Spanish and Dutch-speaking populations, and also private sector allied members such as the Caribbean Hotel Association, plus various companies, organizations and persons providing products and services to the Caribbean tourism industry. The organization is dedicated to fostering the growth of tourism to all member countries through a variety of outreach programs. Local chapters throughout the US and Caribbean provide travel professionals (consultants, tourist boards, media, and others) with the opportunity to network among their peers and expand their knowledge of member countries through local seminars and destination visits.
Several Travel Gallery consultants/affiliates are active members of the Chicago Chapter of the Caribbean Tourism Organization. In fact, Travel Gallery Manager, Kate Ficke, has served three terms on the Board of Directors as Secretary. In addition to the organization's commitment to the continuing education of its members, the chapter has raised almost $500,000 over the years for various Caribbean Charities.
Edison Park COC – The Travel Gallery is proud to have been a member of the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years. The Chamber's annual Edison Park Fest provides a wonderful outlet for area neighbors to learn about the various businesses and services available just outside their own back yards! Members also have an active voice with various City of Chicago departments to help improve the neighborhood in which we work.

NBGC – The Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club (NBGC) located on Irving Park in Chicago, is an independent organization not affiliated with any other private or public institution. NBGC has been an integral part of the community for over 75 years.
NBGC is more than just a sports club, they offer members the opportunity to expand their horizons, build their character and enhance the community.
NBGC offers a diversified athletic, social, recreational, cultural, computer, tutoring, leadership and scholarship program for boys and girls 6-18 years old. The Travel Gallery is proud to provide sponsorship support and volunteer hours to assure that the positive adult and teen supervised programs at NBGC continue for many years to come!
